About Us

Hi, I'm DJ Devin! I'm a 32 year old Van Wert native. Music has always been a passion of mine. I can remember as a child, setting up my stereo on a toy box with the speakers facing away from me and DJing to my imaginary crowd. I had the music turned up and a disco ball going, probably aggravating my mom and dad downstairs. Looking back, it makes me laugh every time I think about it. It also makes me think, this is what I was born to do! I've always enjoying being in charge of the music for family gatherings and parties. I have a natural desire to make people dance and have a good time.

I DJ'd my first wedding at around age 13. It was a family members wedding, my great aunt. I packed up my stereo and all of my CD's  and headed to the venue. I was so excited! My dream was finally coming true! I was a DJ! The wedding went very well, despite the pause between every song while I swapped CD's. My family danced and partied late into the night. I felt like a celebrity afterwards!

A few short years later, another family member was getting married. And of course, she called on me to DJ her wedding! This time, she had rented me a whole setup with big speakers, an audio mixer and a laptop! I really felt like a king then! Needless to say, I rocked that wedding too! I spent the next several years still playing music to myself on the same DJ software that I use today.

In 2016, my brother (Braxton) and I started Own the Night Entertainment. Owning a business was always a dream of ours. So when I had a chance to own a DJ business, you can probably imagine how excited I was!

Since then, I've DJ'd for so many beautiful wedding receptions. I'm living my dream and it's truly amazing! Own the Night grows bigger and bigger every year! I'm so excited for what the future holds for me and OTN. This journey has been amazing and I have all of my wonderful clients to thank for that!
