About Us

I’m a 33-year-old Van Wert native, and music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I’d set up my stereo on a toy box, speakers facing out, and “DJ” to my imaginary crowd while a disco ball spun overhead — probably driving my parents crazy downstairs! Looking back, I can’t help but laugh, but it’s also clear to me now: this is what I was born to do.

I’ve always loved being the one in charge of the music at family gatherings and parties. There’s just something special about bringing people together through great songs and good energy. My very first wedding gig came around age 13 — my great aunt’s big day. I showed up with my stereo, a stack of CDs, and a ton of excitement. Even with a pause between every song, the dance floor stayed packed, and I felt like a celebrity by the end of the night!

A few years later, another family member asked me to DJ her wedding. This time, I had upgraded equipment — big speakers, an audio mixer, and a laptop — and I rocked that one too. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to turn my passion into a career.

In 2016, my brother Braxton and I founded Own the Night Entertainment, turning a lifelong dream into reality. Since then, I’ve had the honor of DJing countless beautiful weddings and celebrations. Watching couples and their guests create unforgettable memories on the dance floor never gets old.

Own the Night continues to grow every year, and I’m beyond excited for what the future holds. I’m endlessly grateful to all of my amazing clients who have trusted me to be part of their biggest moments.
